About Us

About the Owner

Hey y’all! I’m Madison Almes, the agvocate behind the brand. I grew up in western Pennsylvania, where my family and I raised livestock on a small-acre farm. When I’m not busy with HAM or my other jobs, you can find me watching my favorite comfort show, The Office, relaxing with a good book, playing outside with my spunky Rottweiler, Harley, or stopping by my local Dunkin’ drive-thru.

Our Link to Agriculture

Following in my dad’s footsteps, I began showing livestock in 2013 and continued through 2021. During my first few years, I showed only market hogs, but later added show steers to the mix, which quickly became my favorites! I showed at my local county fair throughout my entire show career, and as I got older, I also competed at various jackpot shows across Pennsylvania and in surrounding states. Some of the jackpot shows I attended include the WVU Block and Bridle Bonanza, VCCP, and the PCLA Show Circuit. Even though I no longer lead animals into the ring, I’m grateful that I now get to capture memories for others who love the industry just as much as I do—both in and out of the show ring

How We Started

How We Started

I first found my spark for photography in 2018 when I took some ring shots and award photos for some exhibitors at my local county fair. Not long after, I created a small general photography Instagram page, though I wasn’t sure if I wanted to make a career out of it. I eventually stepped away from photography for a while to focus on school and college, but I knew I still wanted to stay involved in the agricultural industry in some way. I knew that If I started a business, I wanted it to be more than just agricultural photography. I wanted it to be a space that promotes not only the agricultural industry, but also the amazing individuals who are a part of it. The idea for HAM came to me in the summer of 2024, just one year before my college graduation—and the rest is history.
